Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor on Crew Wednesday said she is excited about releasing a film in theatres after a long gap.
Kareena’s latest film is “Crew“, in which she stars alongside actors Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The movie, directed by Rajesh A Krishnan of “Lootcase” fame, is set to be released theatrically on March 29.
At a promotional event here, the actor launched a new version of the iconic 1990s song “Choli” from “Khalnayak”.
“It feels amazing and I am very excited that after a long time a movie of mine is coming to cinemas. I want everyone to watch it again and again. Everybody already loved the trailer and I am quite sure they are going to be super excited even more once they see (the song),” Kareena said.
Her last theatrical release was 2022’s Aamir Khan-starrer “Laal Singh Chaddha”. She was most recently seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s “Jaane Jaan”, which had debuted on streaming service Netflix.

The new version of “Choli” has additional vocals by singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, who also features in “Crew”.
“It feels amazing. The song is also so much fun. People love the ‘choli ke piche kya hai’ song and this goes with the theme of our film. There is a lot happening in the song when you guys see the film you all will know. Anyway, I think it is quite a blockbuster track which people will definitely love to dance on,” the 43-year-old actor said.
“Crew” features Kareena, Tabu and Kriti as three air hostesses working for a fictional airline called Kohinoor. With the carrier on the verge of bankruptcy, the trio’s future seems uncertain but then they find a dead passenger carrying gold biscuits.
Also starring Kapil Sharma, the movie is produced by Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.

What’s in the new song?
The new song that the YouTube handle of Tips Official dropped on Wednesday is a groovier version of the original. After hinting at remixing the memorable song through its instantly recognisable coo-coo hook in the trailer, the makers of Crew have finally unveiled the music video, featuring Kareena.
Snippets from the film, featuring the scenes between Tabu and Kapil Sharma, and Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh, have been pepper throughout the music video. However, the highlight is Kareena grooving and lip-syncing to the song in a flowy pink dress at a nightclub. The actor looks gorgeous as she pays a tribute to Madhuri through this recreation.
The new song has been remixed by Akshay & IP, sung by Diljit Dosanjh and IP Singh. And write by IP Singh. The original song by Ila Arun and Alka Yagnik, compose by Lakshmikant-Pyarelal, and penned by Anand Bakshi. The voices of Ila and Alka have been partially retain in the recreation.

Helmed by Rajesh A Krishnan, ‘Crew’ features Kareena, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon as air hostesses. Last Saturday, the trailer of the film was unveile. The trailer shows Kareena, Tabu and Kriti as frustrated flight attendants who are fed up with unpaid dues, and dead-end jobs. But one day, they discovered kilos of gold bars strapped on a passed-out passenger’s body. While they planned to steal the bars, they end up being surround by several hilarious hurdles.
The film is made under Balaji Telefilms and Anil Kapoor Film & Communications Network banners. The film will be hitting the theatres on March 29.
Crew is a story of three women and is toute as a laugh riot. Set against the backdrop of the struggling airline industry. However, their destinies lead to some unwarrant situations and they get caught in a web of lies.
The movie marks the second collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor after the 2018 female buddy comedy Veere Di Wedding.
